New Students
Step 1 - Find out your English level
- Take our placement test ($25) and we will place you in the correct class for your level.
- Pay for your placement test here, and we will send you instructions to take the test.
- Note: you can take the test online, or you can book an appointment to take the placement test here at Tampa Language Center.
Step 2 - Submit your application form
- Submit the application form
- Be sure to include your availability!
- You can submit your ID here as well.
Step 3 - Submit payment
- Payment for tuition is due 3 business days before the first class.
- You can join a session late!

Level Progression
Learning a new language is different for everyone
Our teachers use different methods and approaches to help all types of learners. Whether you're more of a visual learner, auditory, or something else (such as kinesthetic), there's a place for you in our classrooms!
In our classes, students will be able to cover all of the basic skills to advance through one level in 16 weeks of classes, divided into two 8-week sessions. For example, in one session a student would complete level 1A, and in the following 8-week session, they would be enrolled in level 1B to complete Level 1.
At the end of the 16 weeks, students advance to the next level with the approval of their professor.
We have 7 levels in total.
Beginner - 1A & 1B
High Beginner - Level 2A & 2B
Low Intermediate - Level 3A & 3B
High Intermediate - Level 4A & 4B
Low Advanced - Level 5A & 5B
Advanced - Level 6A & 6B
High Advanced – Level 7A & 7B
English classes can become conversation classes after Level 3B!
